Bluestar Dongda’s New Park Project Starts in Full Swing

According to our newspaper, Bluestar Dongda held a kick-off meeting for the resumption of the 300,000-ton new-type high-performance polyether polyol project in the new park, marking the overall start of the project construction. The completion of the new park will strategically upgrade Bluestar’s polyether polyol production, further optimize the technology, reduce the manufacturing cost of products, and comprehensively enhance the profitability. Liu Yi, Party Secretary and Chairman of Bluestar Dongda, made key requirements and specific arrangements for advancing the project.

Liu first conveyed the requirements of Zibo Municipal Government, ChemChina and Bluestar for Bluestar Dongda’s new park project. He pointed out that the feasibility report of the 300,000-ton new-type high-performance polyether polyol park project has been approved by ChemChina. According to the relevant requirements of Bluestar’s project & process management, stricter discipline must be imposed to tighten the control of investment, further speed up the construction progress. By the project progress, reasonable personnel arrangement should be made to ensure the project construction and production. Currently, the construction of the new park has been included in the annual key projects of Zibo Municipal Government and will be scheduled at any time. The project department must seize the favorable opportunity to push forward the overall construction as soon as possible.

The kick-off meeting mainly focused on the project-based epidemic prevention and control and the preparation for work resumption. It laid more emphasis on how to resolve the problems related to accelerating the project construction in the current context of epidemic prevention and control. The meeting listened to the reports on the early progress of QHSE, design, procurement, construction, control, integration and other departments, giving priority to analyzing problems existing in the project progress.

The new park project will take as flagship products high-end automobiles, building waterproofing materials, polyether polyol for adhesives and POP products to increase the production of customized special polyether products with high added value and map out the domestic polyurethane market together with the planned Quanzhou polyether production base so as to build a nationwide polyether polyol marketing network, with annual production and sales expected to exceed 500,000 tons. All the efforts will gradually replace relevant imports and expand into overseas markets.

As Bluestar’s core enterprise, Bluestar Dongda takes as its vision building the best national brand and national enterprise in China’s polyether polyol industry. At the first Shandong Confucian Merchants Conference 2018, Bluestar Dongda signed an agreement with Huantai County government, Zibo City, Shandong Province, to build a new project, which is scheduled to be completed and put into operation by December 2020. The completion of the new park project will further consolidate Bluestar Dongda’s leading position in the polyether polyol industry to set an example for national enterprises.
