ChemChina and Sinochem Group Concluded a Cooperation Agreement with Guangdong
In order to further study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions on the 40th anniversary celebration of the establishment of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and during his visitation in Guangdong, on 5 December, Ning Gaoning, Chairman of ChemChina and Sinochem Group, led a team to Guangzhou to attend the symposium on cooperation and development between Guangdong Province and central enterprises and the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation framework agreement. They would witness the signing of the strategic cooperation agreements by Guangdong Provincial Government with ChemChina and Sinochem Group. Li Xi, secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, and Ma Xingrui, governor of Guangdong Province, presided over the meeting.
In the symposium on cooperation and development between Guangdong Province and central enterprises and the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation framework agreement, Guangdong Provincial Government signed strategic cooperation agreements with 11 central enterprises. On behalf of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, Li Xi expressed sincere gratitude to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and the central enterprises for their long-term support and assistance to Guangdong. He said that facing the new stage of development, Guangdong was deeply studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions on the 40th anniversary celebration of the establishment of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and during his visitation in Guangdong, and fully implementing the deployment requirements of the Fifth Plenum of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The province would vigorously support the investment and development of central enterprises in Guangdong and comprehensively strengthen all-round cooperation with central enterprises. In addition, it would give great assistance to central enterprises to become stronger, better and larger while helping Guangdong to develop to the forefront of the whole country and achieve new achievements.
At the meeting, Peng Huagang, member of the Party Committee and secretary general of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the principals of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited, China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, Datang Corporation, China Baowu Steel Group, ChemChina and Sinochem Group, National Development & Investment Corporation, China Resources (Holdings) Co., Ltd., China Development Bank, Agriculture Bank of China, China Reinsurance Group and other units made a speech.
Ning Gaoning said in his speech that Guangdong was the vanguard, pioneer and experimental area of reform and opening up and was really looking forward to taking the opportunity of the strategic cooperation between Guangdong Province and ChemChina and Sinochem Group to seize new opportunities and plan new development. Next, the two companies will further study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions during his attendance at the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Establishment of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and his visit to Guangdong, practice the development concept of "science first" to continue to settle major projects with advanced technology, industry-leading and ecological environmental protection in Guangdong, continuously increase the layout of new material industry, accelerate the implementation of urban operation projects, consistently promote modern agricultural technology and services, and actively implement environmental protection projects.
Ning Gaoning pointed out that at the time of launching the all-round strategic cooperation, the two companies will speed up the docking with the governments and departments at all levels in Guangdong Province, solidly implement various strategic cooperation matters, so as to closely combine the development of resident enterprises with the service of local economy, making new and greater contributions to promoting Guangdong's reform and opening up in the new era and realizing "four leading forefront of the country".
After the forum, Li Xi, Ma Xingrui and Ning Gaoning jointly witnessed the signing ceremony of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement by and between Guangdong Province, ChemChina and Sinochem Group. Lin Keqing, member of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor, Fan Xiaosen, member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of ChemChina, and Yang Shihao, member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Sinochem Group signed the Agreement for and on behalf of the three parties respectively. Based on the Agreement, ChemChina and Sinochem Group will deepen and expand the comprehensive and practical strategic cooperation with Guangdong Province in the fields of petrochemical industry, new materials, modern agriculture, urban operation, modern finance, environmental protection, and business consultation, etc.
Zhang Fuhai, member of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Secretary General and Minister of Publicity Department, Ye Zhenqin, member of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, and Vice Governors Chen Liangxian, Qin Weizhong, Wang Xi, Zhang Xin and other leaders attended the above-mentioned event.
