The past year has witnessed great changes, challenges and difficulties. Under the leadership of the Party Central Committee, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, we have made great achievements in the process of fighting against the epidemic, in the process of business operation and company development, in the process of shaping technology-based and high-quality enterprises with the philosophy of “In Science, We Trust”.

First of all, we worked with the people of the whole country to fight the epidemic successfully. In the second half of the year, coupling with the epidemic brought under control and the rapid recovery of China, the business of Sinochem and ChemChina have been thriving rapidly. By the end of the year, we can be very proud and jubilant to announce that Sinochem and ChemChina have both accomplished their scheduled tasks and met the requirements of the SASAC. To sum up, the past year has been painstaking, laborious, struggling but fruitful. On behalf of Sinochem and ChemChina, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all our 230,000 employees, thank you for your hard efforts in the past year.

The new year can be said to be a more glorious one. We will see more integration and business collaboration between Sinochem and ChemChina. Meanwhile, we will also witness the start of the journey to truly build a world-leading, technology-driven comprehensive chemical giant. This initiation is of great significance to the future of the two companies, and to the country’s chemical industry, and to the future career of each employee. It is a year worth expecting and striving for. To this end, we will increase investment in science and technology, stepping up R&D and new product invention and expanding market share. In addition, reform will be promoted in our internal system, covering salary and welfare, domestic and international management methods. I look forward to working with you all in the new year to make our two companies and the new Sinochem better and truly grow to be a world-class enterprise.
