BlueStar Elkem Silicones Launches New Medical Grade Organosilicon Products

SILBIONE? MED ADH 4213 and SILBIONE? Biomedical ADH2 M213, the two new medical-grade organic silicone adhesives of BlueStar Elkem Silicones, met the public on the MD&M West in Anaheim, California, and draw wide attention from the industry.

The two new types of two-component platinum-catalyzed organosilicon adhesives are part of the SILBIONE? family of liquid silicone rubbers of BlueStar Elkem Silicones. The specifically designed products facilitate required resilient and elastic bonding between base materials, with features like stable performance, safe long-term contact with the human body, and toxin-free, meeting demanding requirements of medical implants.

The SILBIONE? series come out of the modern factory of BlueStar Elkem Silicones in South Carolina with verified ISO 8 cleanrooms for manufacturing and ISO 7 cleanrooms for packaging. As approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the SILBIONE? family organic silicone products have complete biocompatibility and meet the conditions of medical application.

Based on market demand, BlueStar Elkem has expanded its adhesive product spectrum, covering liquid silicone rubber, thermosetting rubber, single-component organosilicon adhesive, and double-component organosilicon adhesives. It offers wider organic silicone solutions for customers and meeting higher material requirements in the medical market.
