Pirelli Confirms in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and Tops the Industry

Lately, Pirelli has been successfully confirmed in the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe Indices, and tops the industry.

In the S&P Global 2022 Corporate Sustainability Assessment released in October this year, Pirelli obtained top marks in various management areas including: Governance and Due Diligence, management of natural resources and reduction of CO2 emissions, innovation and cyber security, and completeness and transparency in social and environmental reporting, achieved the highest Score in the ATX Auto Components sector.

Launched in 1999, S&P Global looks over 10,000 companies around the world based on ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) principles, and forms the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, which has become the most comprehensive one reflecting the level of corporate ESG responsibilities, focusing on the pursuit of the organic integration of enterprise development and ecological civilization development, by means of screening the entire life cycle of products, to deep-dive energy waste and emission reduction opportunities in the production process and making improvements accordingly, so as to achieve coordinated development of economic benefits and environmental benefits.
